• When making an inquiry or submitting a request to book, tell us a little about what brings you to town (or your reasons for booking), who will be staying with you, where you are traveling from, and what time you plan to arrive. This information is REQUIRED of all guests to confirm your reservation.
COVID protocols:
• Guests must comply with current local mayor's orders, travel guidelines, and health recommendations, including but not limited to testing, wearing masks in public/shared places, maintaining an appropriate social distance, etc...
• Guests must notify me if they feel ill or are diagnosed/test positive for the novel coronavirus at any point leading up to checkin and for 2 weeks after checkout (for contact tracing) or believe they may have come into contact with someone who has.
• No parties, events, or gatherings.
• Guests are not permitted have UNAUTHORIZED visitors (anyone not included on your original reservation or otherwise approved in advance by your hosts) on premises.
• Number of guests listed in reservation must be updated and accurate prior to checkin.
• We reserve the right to refuse, decline, or cancel bookings by guests who are local to the DMV.
• Third party bookings are generally not permitted, except in certain, non-standard circumstances (see Airbnb's third party reservation policy). If you are booking for someone else and will not be on site in person during the reservation, you must provide the name and phone number of the person you are booking for. The owner of the guest profile remains expressly responsible for the reservation, its guests, and any associated costs.
• In accordance with DC's noise ordinance, noise levels must be kept under 55 decibels (the level of a normal conversation) between the hours of 10pm and 7am seven days a week. If I must respond to a noise complaint by a neighbor, other guests, or by law enforcement, you may be fined and your group removed from the premises.
• Guests may not alter, tamper with, or manually override the timer for the patio lights or extend their operation beyond the pre-set shut off time. (COMING SOON)
• This is a no-shoes home, out of respect for Wad's culture. Please remove your shoes when entering the guest suite. A shoe rack is provided at the entrance.
• Vaping and smoking tobacco or marijuana are NOT permitted inside the house. Guests who violate this policy will be fined (see House Rules). Guests may smoke in the back yard but must ash and dispose of their fully extinguished smoking waste in the provided ashtrays (NEVER on the ground, in the garden beds, or flicked over the fence) and empty the ashtrays in the outdoor bins out front at the end of their stay. In the District of Columbia, if you are over 21 years of age, you are legally allowed to smoke on private property, carry up to 2oz of cannabis on your person, and gift or donate (buying and selling is still illegal, as is smoking in public). That being said, please be considerate of the neighbors and other guests.
• Be sure to clean up after yourself and be respectful of our neighbors. The cleaners charge a negotiated turnover fee to ensure the property is clean for your checkin, which is based on the assumption that guests will be respectful of the space and upkeep during their stay. Any extra charges incurred from the cleaning staff will be deducted from your security deposit.
• No glitter or confetti.
• Do not send mail or packages to yourself at the Airbnb as we are not able to accept packages on your behalf or guarantee receipt.
• If you leave an item at the house upon your departure, we would be happy to mail it back to you for the cost of shipping plus an additional $10 fee.
• Jenna responds to Airbnb messages (generally) between the hours of 10am and 2am, EST. If you have an urgent issue, time sensitive need, or are experiencing an emergency, CALL. My phone is on Do Not Disturb overnight so I don't wake up to Airbnb alerts but phone calls go through and I will wake up to my ringtone.
• Disclosure: we have exterior front and rear facing Ring motion and noise sensing cameras with recording capabilities.
